Emily Kidson

Emily is a contemporary jeweller celebrated for her minimalist forms, bold use of colour, and refined attention to detail. With a background in Three Dimensional Crafts from the University of Brighton and further training at Bishopsland Educational Trust, she brings a deep understanding of materials to her work. Formerly an art librarian, Emily returned to making in 2013 after discovering laminate samples at Central Saint Martins.
She now works exclusively with 100% recycled silver and gold, often combining them with colourful Formica laminate, wood, precious stones, and Keum Boo. Influenced by the geometry of old industrial buildings, Emily creates distinctive jewellery that is both sculptural and wearable.
Every piece is hand-finished using traditional silversmithing techniques, with carefully constructed details that highlight craftsmanship and innovation.
