Latest Trends for Wedding Hair Accessories - Contemporary Classics and Botanical Beauty

Contemporary Classic

2017 seems to be a vintage year in the world of bridal hair accessories. Last year we saw a strong classic look across the spectrum of hair jewellery and, to some extent, this fashion continues in 2017. However, a great number of pieces in the latest collections are more contemporary and soft in style. There is a plenitude of hair vines and chains in the market right now and this comes as no surprise - they are extremely versatile accessories as they can be worn with many different hairstyles.

Here is a fine example of a modern bridal hair chain: a beautiful combination of silver and rose gold laces, with crystal elements and a touch of pearl, mounted on crocodile clips which make it easy to wear.

To prove the versatility of the hair chain, here is one elegantly arranged in a half-up/half-down hairdo. This is a statement piece of hair jewellery with swathes of lustrous pearls, crystals and silver brooch detailing. It simply slots into the hair with the small metal mini combs at either end.

Botanical Beauty

Another key trend this season is botanic inspired hair accessories. With the coming of spring, hair jewellery fashion is reflecting nature as we see more pieces featuring flowers and foliage motifs. These shapes blend very organically with the hair to create a harmonious, whimsical look. It is also worth noting that gold is having a renaissance in the bridal accessory world, and for good reason - gold can add add warmth and radiance to a design.

This hair comb epitomises the golden garden theme of this season perfectly. Gilded leaves and golden flowers are artfully arranged with highlights of pearl and crystal. Presented on a sturdy metal comb base, this piece could be worn at the side of the head or inserted into a bun.

For the bride who wants to get married in an enchanted forest, this is the ideal hair accessory. This hair vine also follows the fashion for gold through its golden wire base but the star of the piece is definitely pearl - dozens of clusters of pearls forming little flowers decorate its full length.
